Malcolm was born in County Cork, Ireland in 1887. He arrived in the US from Ireland at age of 17 on August 20, 1904. Malcolm & Kathryn Collins Murphy were married in Denver on April 23, 1926. It was his second marriage. He died in Englewood, CO seventeen months later in September 1927 at the age of 40.
Kathryn Collins "Kate" Murphy was born August 16, 1899 to Jerry & Margaret (Shaughnessy) Murphy in Kit Carson, CO. When Malcolm died, Kathryn was three months pregnant with their only son James. Kathryn died in Englewood, CO in May 1972 at the age of 72. (sect 7 block 1 lot 28)
