CORTEZ NEWSPAPER
CORTEZ MAN IS CALLED BY DEATH
Monday Evening
H.A. Watson, well known Cortez resident, passed away at his home here Monday evening. His death came rather unexpected to a host of friends as he has been able to be about town until just a few days ago, though he has been in ill health for several weeks. Mr. Watson also has a wide acquaintance in the Pleasant View section, where he resided prior to moving to Cortez.
Mr. Watson was a native Coloradoan, having been born in Denver April 8, 1868. He was 73 years, 11 months and 22 days of age at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife, Nora Ballard Watson and three daughters, Mrs. Versa Prouse and Mrs. Mary Orlena Woods, of Cortez; and Mrs. Mabel C. Clark, of California.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the Ertel Memorial chapel in Cortez. Rev. Jack I. Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Cortez cemetery
