James Stork was a volunteer for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. SGT. JAMES STORK U. S. Air Force, Retired James Lester Stork, 78, a 20-year resident of Las Vegas, passed away from complications of diabetes and renal failure Monday, Jan. 21, 2013. Jim was born in Canton, Ga., March 14, 1934. He retired with the U.S. Air Force as a sergeant. He is survived by Peggy, his wife of 57 years; daughters, Dawn Fitzpatrick of Layton, Utah and Eve Stork of Las Vegas; his son, James L. Stork II of Lakewood, Colo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, all of Utah. Arrangements by Stork Family Mortuary, Lakewood. Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 1, at Bullock Colonial Chapel, 1375 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood, Colo. Ennichment to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Celebration of his life will be held at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at a later date.
