Frank Joseph Stoll Jr., the son of Franz Josef Stoll Sr. and Mary Anne Indelkofer, was born 4 Mar 1842 Germany and died 14 Nov 1917 in Colorado Springs, CO. He married Mary Ann Whitenburger in Germany. The family came to NY 23 Mar 1881 from Germany via Le Havre, France. Bringing with them 5 children and one soon to be born in Colorado, they walked over Ute Pass and found their way to the homestead of Frank’s younger brother Frederick. Frederick and his wife Katherine Hoffman Stoll had started their homestead at Rocky, Co in 1874. Frank soon started a homestead that would later be improved and grow larger with the help of his son Joseph Walter. Later the mountain that rose above them would be named after these Colorado Pioneers, and is known as Stoll Mountain to this day. Mary and Frank were the parents of 10 children 2 died in Germany, 5 came with them to Colorado and 3 were born in Colorado. They were the parents of 2 unknown children, Emily who married Benjamin F Caylor, Louise who married Henry L Rader, Joseph W who married Frances A White, Catherine who married Elis E Portis, Mary who married Harry A Downing, Emil, Anna C who married Harold C Wright and Henry E who married Bertha A Steffen.
