Note: The Alma cemetery and Buckskin cemetery are one in the same. The cemetery was originally called the Buckskin cemetery because it was next to the original town of Buckskin Joe, now a ghost town. President Theodore Roosevelt approved the land grant for the cemetery to be used by Alma residents on 3/21/1902, Patent No. 1638.

EDWARD DANIEL SNELL
The death of Mr. Snell in the prime of life has brought heartfelt regret in wide circles of friends and acquaintances. It is not unexpected, for he was a great sufferer during the last two and a half years of his life. He was born April 19, 1871, at Sherman, Wyo., came to Colorado from Cheyenne, Wyo., in 1879 and to Alma, Colorado in 1879. He passed away Monday morning Apr. 16, 1917.
On May 14, 1902 he was married to Miss Hannah M. Hoffman. To them were born six children; the eldest, Ida May, who died when she was three years old. Mrs. Snell and five children survive him: Edward Louis, Walter Wilkin, Evitte Leona, Norman Bowman, and Clyde Arthur are very young, the oldest being but twelve and a half years of age. Mrs. Frank Clark mourns in him the loss of a brother dearly beloved.
Mr. Snell has left a record for industry, honesty and kindliness that will be a sweet memory to his sorrowing widow, a satisfaction to his friends and neighbors and a worthy example to his children.
The years of illness and suffering did not sour or harden him; devoutly he turned his mind to the things that abide. The Eternal Father was his object of prayer and the comforting words of the Good Shepherd gave strength to his soul.
The genuine sympathy of all is extended the widow and to the sister of deceased and to the children, who are yet too young to take up the burden their father has dropped.
