Vivian Marie CLARK

Alma Cemetery
Park County,
Colorado

Gravestone Inscription: Vivian Marie Clark August 23, 1915 – March 2, 1917

Note: The Alma cemetery and Buckskin cemetery are one in the same. The cemetery was originally called the Buckskin cemetery because it was next to the original town of Buckskin Joe, now a ghost town. President Theodore Roosevelt approved the land grant for the cemetery to be used by Alma residents on 3/21/1902, Patent No. 1638.

Little Vivian Marie, the eighteen month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Clark of Alma, died last Friday morning. Mrs. Clark and the baby were visiting her mother, Mrs. Shackelford of this city, when the baby took sick and died.
The little one was sick several days with stomach trouble and complications developed which gradually sapped her frail life.
Rev. H.S. Bevis conducted the funeral services at Alma Sunday afternoon and the precious remains were laid to rest in the Alma Cemetary (sic).
The Flume joins a wide circle of friends in extending their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved parents.
